What is Ziplex?
Ziplex is a social feed in German, written at your level. It turns the scrolling you already do into better German. It is in development; you can join the waitlist.
- Who it's for
- Anyone who wants to improve their German but has no time for it, and anyone learning German for fun.
- What it does
- Shows real posts (current news and culture from Germany, Austria and Switzerland) at your level, brings back your weekly words, polishes your comments so you can practise writing, and shows your progress as a train journey through the Alps.
- What it doesn't do
- No lessons, no drills, no exam prep. You can just scroll; posting is optional.
- Platforms
- iOS, Android and web (planned). The app is in English.
- Status
- In development. Not available yet.
- Price
- A 7-day free trial, then a subscription. The price isn't set yet.
- How AI is used
- Posts are written and adjusted with AI and checked against our quality standard. News facts are rewritten in our own words, with the source linked. AI images are labelled.
Why we're building it: the guilt scroll
Busy lives leave no time to grow. So you open your phone to switch off, scroll for a while, and feel you're not moving forward. That's not your fault. Ziplex brings German into the scroll you already do, so you don't have to find extra time.
Do I have to post?
No. You can just scroll. Commenting is there if you want to practise writing.
Is Ziplex a lesson app?
No. There are no lessons. If you didn't notice you were learning, we did our job.
When can I use Ziplex?
Not yet. Join the waitlist and we'll send your invite when it's ready.
