Terms

Short version: Ziplex is a German feed at your level. The first week is free and needs no card. After that the feed needs a season pass, which you buy and cancel in the App Store or Google Play. Be kind in the comments. Most posts are written with AI, so check anything important.

Who we are

Ziplex is run by Fikrican Ozgur as an individual in Switzerland (postal address in the legal notice). Write to [email protected] with any question. "We" and "us" on this page mean him.

Who can use Ziplex

You must be 16 or older. When you sign in for the first time, the app asks for your year of birth to check this. By using the app you agree to these terms and confirm you have read the privacy policy.

Your account

When you first open Ziplex, the app creates an account for you without a name or email. If you sign in (email code, Apple or Google), your progress moves with you to other devices. Keep access to your email or Apple / Google account safe, because that is how you get back in.

You can download your data or delete your account at any time under Me. Deleting the account erases your data and cannot be undone. It does not cancel a season pass; cancel that in your store subscriptions.

The free week

New learners get the full feed free for 7 days, without a card. We tell you at the start when it ends, remind you before the end, and nothing is charged automatically. When it ends, the feed pauses; your Track, your cities and your saved words stay. If you join a founder call, we add 14 more free days after the call.

The season pass

• The pass is a subscription, monthly or yearly. The price in your currency is shown in the app and in the store before you buy. Prices can differ by country and include the taxes the store adds.
• You buy it from Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). They take the payment, and their terms apply to it. We never see your card.
• The pass renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can do this any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. After cancelling, the pass stays valid until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Ask them first; if you have a problem, write to us as well.
• If we change the price, the store tells you before it applies to your pass, and you can cancel.
• "Restore purchases" in the app gives you your pass back on a new phone with the same store account.

The posts

Ziplex shows short posts in German at six levels (A1 to C2). Most posts are written with AI from public news and facts and then checked automatically for form and level; they are not reviewed one by one by a person before they appear. They can contain mistakes. Ziplex is for learning German, not a news service and not advice (medical, legal, financial or other). Check anything important at the source named under each post. Photos come with their credit and licence under the post.

The posts, the Track, the design and the app belong to us or to the people credited. You may read and share them inside the app's share features, but not copy the feed in bulk.

Comments

Comments are short notes in German that other learners can see with your handle. Before posting, the app suggests up to three corrections with AI; they are suggestions, and the comment you post is yours.

Please don't post anything illegal, hateful, threatening, sexual, spam or advertising, and don't share other people's personal details. You can report a comment or block a learner from the menu next to it. We may hide comments that break these rules and, for repeated or serious cases, stop an account from commenting or close it.

You keep the rights to what you write. You allow us to show it in Ziplex for as long as it is up; it disappears when you delete it or your account.

Fair use

Don't try to get around the free week or the pass, read the app's data with bots or scripts, overload or attack the service, or use Ziplex to break the law. We may block access that does.

Early version

Ziplex is new and still changing. Features can change or go away, and the service may sometimes be down or have bugs. We try to keep it running and to tell you about big changes in the app. If we stop Ziplex for good, we will tell you in advance and you can download your data.

Responsibility

We are responsible for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence. Beyond that, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect damage or for decisions you take based on a post. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we show the change in the app before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using Ziplex, cancel your pass and delete your account.

Law

Swiss law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and can go to the courts there.
